PTO fundraising
Last year, through the Pickett families fundraising efforts, the PTO was able to purchase risers for the kids performances and provide field trip transportation funds for all the classes.
This year the PTO is working towards new playground equipment and additional benches for the playground. Providing extra printer ink cartridges for each of the classrooms is another school need we would like to cover.
The PTO board would like to thank all the parents who completed last years survey regarding fundraisers and for all the great suggestions. Many requested we do a cash campaign, where parents give a one time money contribution, in lieu of the fundraising. We love this idea!! For this year, we would like to offer both options - either give a donation and/or participate in our fundraisers. Also based on these results the PTO is planning ONLY 2 traditional fundraisers...1 in the fall and 1 in the spring.
We will be sending a "Cash for Kids" cash campaign letter home the 2nd week of school. If this is your preference for contributing please complete and return with your child to their teacher. Please make all checks payable to Pickett PTO.
We had an overwhelming response to the idea of a school cookbook and will be our fall fundraiser. Recipe cards will be available at meet the teacher night, on the PTO white board located in the main hall, and through contacting the PTO or sending your recipe to us at pickettpto@yahoo.com.
Our fundraising committee plans, organizes and executes fundraisers throughout the school year. You may join the committee, volunteer at an event or make a donation to help. Please continue to check this website or our PTO white board at school for updates. As always, you may contact the PTO board at pickettpto@yahoo.com.
Pickett PTO has 501c3 status by the IRS. We are recognized as a charitable organization and are tax exempt. Donations made to the PTO are 100% tax deductible.

Please start gathering recipes that you would like to submit for our school cookbook. This cookbook will be a great addition to your collection and will also make a great gift, all while earning money to purchase additional playground equipment.
Recipe Forms are on the PTO white board located in the main hall. Letters with recipe cards will be going home with the kids the week of August 9th. You may also contact the PTO at pickettpto@yahoo.com for additional receipe forms.
